Akim joined Tropha Estates in March 2012. Akim has overseen the planting of most of the macadamia orchards at the main estate in Ekwendeni. Before joining Tropha Estates, Akim attended a number of Agriculture trainings under Press Agriculture on various food crops as well as cash crops. Akim spent 11 years with Admarc and 24 years working working in Press Agriculture, Press Farming and Press division Estates.
